Children’s Learning Center
Blessed Sacrament Church operates a not-for-profit, full- and partial-day, child care and education center. The Children’s Learning Center offers a developmental program for children aged 2 through 5, Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., twelve months a year.
The center is staffed by about a dozen loving and professional staff. Four of the six classes are housed in the new education building.
Class time and outdoor activities offer a wide variety of age-appropriate experiences in areas of art, music, science, pre-reading, pre-math, language development, physical development, and social living.
The children attend Chapel Services twice a week where music, stories, ritual, and prayer convey a tradition of values and morals in the Christian Church. Schedules are flexible, allowing families to coordinate child care with work responsibilities.
Families may choose 2, 3, or 5-day schedules. Half-day programs refer to the morning class time between 9 a.m. and noon; other programs, such as from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and full-day programs are also available.

Parent resources and support are also included by offering workshops, resource referrals, classes, and opportunities to come together in a social setting. Classes, workshops, information nights, and child-related programs are offered to the Placentia community with the understanding that the more opportunities we make available to families concerning the importance of quality experiences for young children, the greater the rewards as these children grow into tomorrow’s adults.
